COURSE OVERVIEW

Introduction

Data collection and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) have always been integral parts of development work. In the past, these tasks were performed with paper and pen, which made them prone to error, difficult to conduct on a large scale, and high in transaction costs.

Information and communication technology (ICT) tools, including hardware like mobile phones and tablets are now widely used in surveys.

This course will enlighten participants on how to create digital surveys with the help of Softwares that allows users to upload data to storage facilities in real-time; hence reducing challenges associated with remote data collection for monitoring and evaluation.

The course will introduce participants to tools and techniques of gathering data for projects/ programmes outcomes using innovative mobile data gathering tools.

At the end of the course, you will become familiar with use of ICT tools on conducting data collection exercise.

Methodology

The instructor led trainings are delivered using a blended learning approach and comprises of presentations, guided sessions of practical exercise, web-based tutorials and group work. Our facilitators are seasoned industry experts with years of experience, working as professional and trainers in these fields.

All facilitation and course materials will be offered in English. The participants should be reasonably proficient in English.

Certification

Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be issued with Steady Development Centre certificate.

Training Venue

The training will be held at Steady Development Centre. The course fee covers the course tuition, training materials, two break refreshments and lunch.
