Introduction
Conflict resolution and peacebuilding are key foundations for sustainable development, social stability, and inclusive governance. This course is designed to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills to analyze conflicts, design peacebuilding interventions, and integrate gender inclusion into peace processes at community, national, and international levels.
In many conflict-affected contexts, women and marginalized groups experience disproportionate impacts, including displacement, violence, exclusion from decision-making, and loss of livelihoods. This course addresses these challenges by promoting gender-sensitive peacebuilding approaches that ensure inclusive participation in conflict prevention and resolution.
The course provides a comprehensive understanding of conflict dynamics, peacebuilding frameworks, mediation techniques, and gender mainstreaming strategies in peace processes. Participants will explore how inclusive approaches contribute to sustainable peace and reconciliation.
A strong focus is placed on practical peacebuilding skills, including negotiation, mediation, dialogue facilitation, early warning systems, and community reconciliation processes. Participants will learn how to design and implement inclusive peace initiatives that address root causes of conflict.
Emerging issues such as climate-related conflicts, digital misinformation and conflict escalation, youth radicalization, transboundary disputes, and women’s leadership in peace processes are integrated into the curriculum. These ensure participants are prepared for modern conflict environments.
Through simulations, case studies, and participatory exercises, participants will gain hands-on experience in conflict analysis and peacebuilding programming. By the end of the course, participants will be able to design and implement gender-responsive peacebuilding strategies that promote sustainable peace.

Training Approach
The instructor led trainings are delivered using a blended learning approach and comprises of presentations, guided sessions of practical exercise, web-based tutorials and group work. All facilitation and course materials will be offered in English. The participants should be reasonably proficient in English.
