Introduction
Gender and governance are deeply interconnected, as inclusive decision-making is key to effective leadership and equitable development. This course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to integrate gender perspectives into governance systems, leadership structures, and decision-making processes at all levels of society and institutions.
Despite progress in governance reforms, women and marginalized groups remain underrepresented in leadership and decision-making spaces. This course addresses these gaps by exploring strategies to promote inclusive governance systems that ensure equal participation, voice, and influence in public and private sector decision-making processes.
The course provides a comprehensive understanding of governance systems and how gender dynamics influence leadership effectiveness and policy outcomes. Participants will explore institutional structures, political systems, and leadership frameworks that either promote or hinder gender equality in decision-making spaces.
